Your Crew
Working aboard a charter boat means our crew is “on” from sunrise to lights out — ensuring your trip is seamless, safe, and unforgettable. We’re always available and happy to help, day or night.
If anything urgent comes up after hours, please don’t hesitate to knock on our cabin door.Behind the Scenes
While we’re friendly and love connecting with our guests, our primary role is to keep Nadiya running smoothly. Most of our time is spent prepping meals, cleaning, managing gear, and troubleshooting — often behind the scenes so you can relax. We likely won’t join you for beach time, dinners out, or local village exploring — not because we don’t want to, but because we need rest and time to reset before another full day of service.
-
Choose Your Own Adventure
Each evening and again in the morning, your captain will lay out your options for the day ahead — based on weather, location, and what’s possible on the water. We’ll guide you, but the rhythm is yours to set.
Whether you’re craving adventure or downtime, it’s your call:
Snorkel at sunrise, lunch & mimosas onboard, and beach time before dinner at the yacht club? Done.
Lounge on the lily pad, explore the area by paddle-board, then sail to a secluded island for a sunset bonfire? Say no more.
That said, six days fly by — and while we’ll make the most of every moment, not every stop can fit in. But hey, there’s always next time.
Feeling indecisive? Just say the word and let us surprise you with something beautiful. We’ve got you.

Logistics
-
The crew of Nadiya typically anchors out and uses the 12.6' tender for trips between the boat and shore — it’s part of the charm.
If you prefer to stay at a local marina for any night(s) of your charter, we’re happy to arrange it. Just note that all marina and dockage fees are the responsibility of the guests.
In certain areas where anchoring is prohibited and mooring is required, fees may apply — these, too, will be covered by guests.
-
All trip deposits are non-refundable. However, we understand plans can change:
More than 3 months out: You may reschedule once at no additional cost, pending availability.
1–3 months out: Rescheduling is possible for a $750 service fee, subject to availability.
Less than 1 month out: Trips cannot be rescheduled.
-
We recommend using flights.google.com to book your flights. Some trips may require flying with a local secondary airline.
Upon arrival, you’ll take a taxi from the airport to our anchorage. The exact meeting spot will vary depending on weather conditions, but we’ll provide details a few days before your arrival — it will always be close to the airport. We’ll pick you up in the dinghy, typically bringing bags out first while guests relax on the beach or grab a drink.
Common airports for our destinations:
Exumas: Fly into Nassau, then connect via Flamingo Air to Blackpoint Airport (MYEB)
Eleuthera: Fly into Northern Eleuthera Airport via Pineapple Air or other major carriers (MYEH)
Georgetown: Fly into Exuma International Airport (MYEF)
Florida Keys: Fly into Key West Airport (EYW)
Frequently Asked
-
The dinghy, also known as the tender, is the small boat used to transport guests and supplies between Nadiya and shore, and to access shallow or remote areas during your trip. Nadiya’s tender is a 12'6" Highfield powered by a 30hp two-stroke motor. Life jackets are not required but are available upon request.
-
Yes, we’ve got you covered. Nadiya has six pole spears and multiple sets of masks, snorkels, and fins available for guest use. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the water, we recommend bringing your own mask and snorkel—our gear is great for beginners, but nothing beats a personal, well-fitted mask when it comes to comfort and preventing leaks or fog.
We also carry four offshore fishing combos and four light tackle setups. Guests are welcome to use them after a quick orientation. While a few lost lures or hooks are expected, guests will be responsible for the cost of replacing any damaged equipment.
-
To officially book your trip a deposit must be made to hold your dates. When you are ready to book we will send you a booking contract which spells out the details.
-
Yes, it’s customary to tip your crew in cash, just like you would for other service-based experiences. In the charter industry, 20% or more is standard. Most of your trip cost goes directly toward operating expenses like insurance, licensing, and maintenance — so gratuity is deeply appreciated as it directly supports the crew’s personal income.
-
Each cabin is equipped with two adult-sized, offshore-rated life jackets. We also have comfort-style life jackets available for swimming and paddleboarding. For children, we carry two standard orange offshore life jackets, but we strongly recommend parents bring properly fitted life jackets for their kids.
-
Each cabin aboard Nadiya has its own private wet shower and marine toilet (head). The showers are spacious and usually have hot water, though we ask guests to be mindful — every drop of water onboard is made and heated by us. If you’re ever without hot water, just ask — we’ll gladly turn on the water heater. But remember, the more time we spend running the water maker, the less time we’re out adventuring with you!
There’s also a freshwater rinse hose on the back of the boat. Please rinse off — especially your feet — every time you come back aboard. Salt water is incredibly corrosive, and once fabric gets salty, it stays damp and sticky for days. Trust us, you do not want to crawl into bed feeling salty.
The toilets are similar to those at home, but with two buttons: one brings in seawater, the other activates a macerator (think garbage disposal) to flush. Please, only human waste and conservative amounts of toilet paper should go down. Everything else — including sanitary products — must go in the small trash can under the sink.
Clogged toilets are no joke. If one gets backed up with non-human waste, it’s a major project — your captain will be elbows-deep in plumbing, and the boat will smell… unforgettable.
Bottom line:
If it didn’t come out of your body, it doesn’t go in the toilet. Please and thank you! -
Cash is king in the Bahamas, especially for tipping your crew at the end of your trip (wink wink). There are establishments that take card, but it is not guaranteed. US dollars are interchangeable with Bahamas dollars. ATMs are available. Be sure to spend all your Bahamas dollars before you leave!
-
Nadiya is a very safe and stable vessel. No—she will not tip over. It’s simply not possible in the kind of calm conditions you'll be sailing in.
She’s equipped with ten fire extinguishers: one in each cabin and one in each engine room. A fully stocked first aid kit is always onboard, and your captain is certified in CPR and First Aid. In the rare event of a serious emergency, there are local clinics and hospitals on the islands nearby.
Your safety and peace of mind are always a top priority.
-
There are three queen-sized beds aboard Nadiya—one in each guest cabin—allowing us to comfortably accommodate one to six guests. Whether or not you get your own bed depends on your group’s arrangement.
We typically ask that guests sleep only in their assigned cabin beds. Sleeping on the couch, in the cockpit, or elsewhere on the boat is not allowed unless all guests are in full agreement. This helps ensure shared spaces remain open and accessible for everyone to enjoy, whether it's early morning coffee or a late-night stargazing session.
-
Nadiya is equipped with Starlink internet, which is available whenever we’re within 10 miles of shore. Please note that while Starlink provides fast internet access for browsing and apps, it does not support standard phone calls or SMS text messages.
The good news? Most areas in the Bahamas have reliable cell service. Your mobile carrier will typically offer international coverage for a daily or weekly fee — check with them before your trip to avoid surprises.
-
All towels, bedding, and linens will be freshly laundered before your arrival and again after your departure. If you need to do laundry during your trip, we can direct you to the nearest laundromat — just keep in mind that it's a slow and time-consuming process in the islands.
If you spill or stain something, just let us know! We’re happy to help wash it onboard if possible.
-
Nadiya is a very stable vessel. While at anchor, you'll barely notice you're on a boat. Underway, she experiences more motion than a cruise ship, but significantly less than a smaller boat.
Most guests who have previously experienced seasickness on small vessels find they do just fine aboard Nadiya. However, if you are prone to motion sickness or think it may be an issue, we recommend bringing Dramamine or a similar remedy and taking it in advance—usually at night or as directed on the package—for the best effect.
-
That’s up to you! On a typical trip, we stay close to the islands in calm, sheltered waters — always in sight of land and on the lee side, away from wind and waves. So, no, you usually won’t be out in rough seas. However, if you want to venture offshore for deep-sea fishing or sailing and conditions are safe, we’re happy to make it happen!
-
Yes, Nadiya is fully insured, and Brenton & Wardo hold both a USCG and Bahamian Captain’s License. Guests will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to boarding.
-
Each cabin is equipped with standard 110-volt outlets. Please limit usage to charging phones, tablets, or other low-power devices in the evening to help conserve the boat’s battery power. Thank you for your understanding!
-
To ensure your crew has enough time to reset the boat and rest between trips, we kindly ask that guests arrive aboard Nadiya after 12:00 PM on arrival day and depart before 12:00 PM on departure day. If you need us to hold your luggage or pick it up early on arrival or departure day, we’re more than happy to accommodate.
