Brenton is a licensed Captain through both the U.S. Coast Guard and the Bahamas Royal Defence Force, with over 20 years of boating experience — seven of those spent living and working full-time at sea. The 2025 season marks his sixth year exploring the Bahamian islands aboard Nadiya.

Before life on the water, Brenton wore many hats: touring musician, tiny home builder, NASA Aerospace Scholar, aerospace mechanic, marine technician, and mechanical engineering student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

When he’s not navigating or maintaining Nadiya, you’ll find him capturing adventures through photo and video, diving into self-sustainability, and soaking in the joy of slow, intentional travel. He's passionate about learning something new every day and keeping the vessel running in peak condition—so you can just enjoy the ride.
